Our official care instruction for charms is simple: hand wash only, avoid prolonged direct sunlight, and keep them dry. Day to day, that means:
- Keep them out of the rain. If a charm gets soaked, squeeze out water gently with a towel and air dry it away from sunlight and heaters.
- Rotate your charms. If you hang the same charm on the same bag every single day, the clip point wears first. Swapping between two bags doubles its life.
- Keep them out of direct sun when not in use. A drawer or a shelf keeps colors bright for years.
When It Needs a Wash
- Fill a bowl with cool or lukewarm water and a drop of mild detergent.
- Swish the charm gently for a minute — no scrubbing, no wringing.
- Rinse until the water is clear.
- Press out water between two towels, then air dry fully before clipping it back on.
Never put a charm in the washing machine or dryer — the hardware and the plush shape will both suffer.
Restoring the Fluff
Over time, fur on a charm can get pressed flat where it rubs against your bag. Fix it with your fingers: gently tease the fur back against its grain, then smooth it into place. Two minutes of fussing makes a charm look newly unboxed.
Clip Care
